Opposite a Saver store in Manchester (Connecticut) is a giant Walmart store. Often the subject of criticism this massive chain of superstores operates globally. According to Wikipedia Walmart is the worlds 3rd largest public corporation. It is also the biggest private employer in the world with over two million employees, and is the largest retailer in the world. It operates under the name ASDA in the UK.
In a world where we are increasingly loosing touch with our local communities and each other I can’t help but think that stores like Walmart aren’t a good thing.
