It’s been a fantastic couple of weeks in the recording studio working my new EP. Here’s a little peak behind the scenes of what I’ve been up to.
Geoff Holroyde (drummer from Feeder), Oscar Golding (who has played bass with everyone from Imelda May to Robbie Williams), the brilliant Mac Adams on keys, the formidable Pat Murdoch on lead guitar (Beyonce, Chrissie Hynde) with the master Adrian Hall (Tori Amos, Depeche Mode, Alica Keys) at the controls. We’ve still got backing vocals, strings and percussion to record, but already the tracks are sounding great.
I wrote these tracks before and during lockdown. I’ve lived with them for a while now, it’s exciting and a bit nerve wracking to know that they will soon be released. Once that happens, they are outside the artists control and something wonderful happens – they find their own way into the world and touch hearts in places you could never imagine.
